North from Usery Pass

This shows the far view from the pass looking northward. The junction of the Salt River and the Verde is just to the west in the valley below.

By the way, Usery Pass is not named for the term usury. Rather, it's named for a horse thief and stagecoach robber named King Usery. Posted by Picasa

It really depends. A 40-acre package in Surprise was offered for $50K. I've seen 13-acre lots advertized for between $40 and 50K, but that was up in the north part of the state. In Mesa and Apache Junction (a mostly lower to middle class area) a city lot might go for $45K. 1.5 acres in AJ is advertized for $275K in one of the newer areas. Location, location, location.
