From the overlook, the valley goes off into forever. A few last yellow leaves mark the end of fall.A remarkable thing about this canyon is that there's no warning. There are no hills or mountains to suggest a canyon, just flat plain until suddenly you see just a line of darkness and then the whole drama of this place opens before you.
